Meet May 2025 Pet - Oshi
🐾✨ Meet Oshi – Our May Mayor’s Pet of the Month! ✨🐾
At just 2 years old, Oshi the Pomeranian is small in size but HUGE in personality—and cuteness! Known for her signature move (clapping her paws to demand pets and admiration), Oshi charms everyone she meets with her silky coat, twinkling eyes, and heart-melting smile.
You’ll often find Oshi trotting down the W&OD Trail with her head held high, stopping by Great Harvest Bread Co. for her favorite snack. But she’s not just a local snack connoisseur—she’s also the unofficial sidekick reporter, accompanying her human to town events and helping little ones open up with belly rubs and cheerful conversation. 📰🐶
Her guilty pleasure? Forepaw pit scratches and sneaky bedtime missions to transform herself into a cozy hat on top of her humans’ pillows—complete with midnight hair grooming. 💅😄
Her superpower? She’s a one-dog hockey team—flipping fuzzy tennis balls in the air and nose-dribbling them across hardwood floors with grace and precision. 🏒🐾
Oshi brings smiles everywhere she goes—people literally roll down their car windows to say, “You just made my day!” And we couldn’t agree more.
💙 Let’s give it up for Oshi, a true Herndon star who walks (and claps) among us!
Pet Mayor About Town
Memorial Day Events
Oshi, May’s Pet of the Month, reporting for Memorial Day duty—in style!
She joined me for a special stop at Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern, riding up on a motorcycle (okay, in spirit!) to honor and remember those who gave everything for our freedom. She then joined this morning for put more solemn ceremony at Chestnut Groveve Cemetery
With her little paws held high and her silky coat blowing in the breeze, Oshi brought smiles, tail wags, and a whole lot of heart to the day.
Thank you to all who serve and sacrifice. And thank you, Oshi, for reminding us that even the smallest paws can make a big impact.
Jimmy’s Old town Tavern - New History Plaque
Oshi (May’s Pet of the Month) joined me and Jimmy Cirrito at Jimmy’s to check out the new History of Jimmy’s sign!
A proud Herndon moment, full of laughs, legacy, and one very cute pup.
